Mackerel Caesar Salad and Halibut for main. All very nice. Staff very helpful and decent drinks menu with nice wine selection and local-ish beer heroes Loch Fyne on draft and bottle. Quite pricey though, £38 for a main. Bill was over £150 for two with a couple of drinks and sharing a dessert. All lovely though.

Amazing place set around beautiful views. Left my waterproof trousers and only noticed when I left the island. They kindly sent them to my home address. Such a great gesture and confirms how good the staff are. Foods great. Chilled pint by the waters edge and beach. Honestly one of the best pubs and restaurants around. Thanks again.

Situated on an enviable spot this lovely little restaurant serves fabulous seafood dishes with a twist. I went for two starters, one in place of a main. The mackerel ceviche with mango ketchup was memorable as was the delicious sticky toffee pudding.

Stunning location and perfect food! Freshest seafood I’ve ever had and perfectly cooked. The drinks menu was also excellent. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. I will be back!

Visited 3rd July 2024 First for a cheeky couple pints and a bowl of mussels - delicious! We were storm bound overnight, and I had to wait for lunch the following day. Excellent fresh seafood - locally sourced. Sam, the owner, was super friendly and has some great travel stories. Amelia, our server was bright, attentive, and interested in what we were up to. She is also a local from Gigha. Highly recommend the Boathouse - and worth booking a table especially when the weather is fine.

A charming seafood restaurant, in a beautiful setting. There is seating inside and out (some of the latter with shade) For when the Scottish weather cooperates. Added to my list of delightful places to visit when I get the chance.

Impossible to fault. Our waiter Adam was friendly, knowledgable and attentive - some of the best service we’ve had in a long while. The food was delicious, fresh and well presented. The setting was idyllic. We did not want to leave and ended up ordering more oysters after our mains. We will 100% be making the trip back to Ghia, mostly just to visit The Boathouse again.

A charming little spot near the ferry slip on Gigha. The Fyne ale is a must-try, and the seafood is unbelievably fresh. Even as vegetarians, we found some great options on the menu.
